Kathleen Ann González has published with various periodicals and has stories in three anthologies. She has independently published five books: A Beautiful Woman in Venice, Seductive Venice: In Casanova’s Footsteps, A Living Memory: Immortality for Sarra Copia SulamFree Gondola Ride, and A Small Candle. She also edited two anthologies about Venetians: First Spritz Is Free and Venice Rising: Aqua Granda, Pandemic, Rebirth.

Supernova Edizioni publishes her books in Italy, including Casanova in Venice: A Walking Guide translated into Italian as In Venezia con Casanova and into German as Mit Casanova in Venedig.

 

Her research on Casanova has been noted in Smithosonian magazine, by the BBC, in a French documentary, and for the American art exhibit on Casanova's era. She has also published articles in l’Intermediaire des Casanovistes and Casanoviana. González organized the 2019 symposium in Venice "Casanova in Place" and is on the organizing committee for the 2025 tricentennial symposium "Casanova in Time."

 

As a high school English teacher, Kathleen has won various awards and recognition for her work. Though she lives in California, Kathleen considers Venice her second home.
